2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Tonga GreenDiscovery 3

ah okay! as is logical on the other hand, there it is clearly seen how the D4 was worse compared to the D3 ... and that is how the decline of Land Rover began, I'm afraid!!

I believe that on a D3 one press locks and sets the alarm, double press leaves the alarm unarmed.
It is the other way round on a D4. It was changed for safety reasons.
Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

The Owner's Handbook for a Discovery 3 states:

"If passengers or animals are to be left in the vehicle, windows and/or sunroof left open, or the vehicle is on a moving platform, e.g. a ferry, lock the vehicle by pressing the lock button twice within two seconds. This disables the super locking, tilt sensing and interior space protection."

However, the perimetric alarm system will still be active.
