FFRR or D4
The current Mrs MZ came out with a sweeping statement yesterday she said that she feels that the next move could on the Land Rover front should be a D4 or a FFRR as the back of the D5 was not to her liking ,well chaps what would you do D4 or FF ?

It depends upon what you want. The D4 is possibly much more versatile, and doesn't look bad if it's caked up in mud etc. As a judge at a national towing event, the D4 as a tow car is as good as it gets. The FFRR is possibly quieter, a bit more comfortable, but is a very big car (I was amazed when I had a D4 parked next to both the previous FFRR and the latest one how much smaller the D4 is). For me, the D4 ticks all the boxes I want it to; probably better than the FFRR would. Personal choice.

My 07 TDV8 ff is just amazing but as said it's not got the usefulness as a disco it's just smooth quiet and for a big car goes like f--k 8)-------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

Mrs mz has good taste
Just in the middle of swapping from a D4 to a FF, so I'm familiar with that choice!
It really depends what you like; the D4 is a lot more practical and the more classic looking car that'll date less quickly than the RR. It's the more spacious for any kind of luggage carrying work and truth be told, is probably the better car!
But, along with the extra passenger space and comfort, the SDV8 is the reason to go for the FF. The performance is stunning and the handling and agility (on the V8 ) is startling; there is a lot more body roll with the V6. If you go for the FF, skip the entry level Vogue, the seats just aren't the same as the ones above.
V6, for V6, I'd get a late D4. If you want comfort and performance and practicality isn't important and the budget will stretch, go for a mid to high spec SDV8 FF.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I frequently find myself thinking if I could settle for a FFRR as my next LR, when I would be looking at one of the very last D4s, a 2nd hand D5, or something else. I think if I could get a discrete rack (like Prospeed) for it, I'd be very tempted. I'm assuming an FFRR would tow just as well as my D4.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten
