Finding it hard to sell my D3
After changing my job and no longer needing 4wd I thought with diesel costs etc I should sell my beloved 2004 hse. The trouble is after it initially cost me a bit to get her up together 2 years ago she has been running like a dream. I've spent the last couple of weeks cleaning and polishing back to almost showroom condition and put an ad online. Had a message today from a buyer interested in having a look. I couldn't bring myself to call them back. I could quite easily manage with a normal car, you know the ones that are in the way all the time and manage more than 30mpg downhill, but I can't do it and won't do it. Apart from a D4 where can you go after your D3 ?
After having owned a D3 and moved down to a 3 series, you'll sorely miss the road presence of any LR product. I suggest go for a LR or RR(S) if you can, otherwise just be prepared for people to cut into your lane again. Visit my car detailing blog at http://maksimumdetail.wordpress.com

A common question indeed! Many have gone for D4, but for some its just a little to up market. Others have gone to a Defender, but many have returned to D3/4 because they miss the comfort. Some go to a FFRR, but they have just got too much money
So the conclusion is, the D3 is just about the perfect combination of functionality, capability, comfort, with a lot of style thrown in. A tough act to follow!

Stick with your D3! If you buy anything else you will regret it ) You will have it 12 months... and order a D4! When youve had an LR nothing else cuts it, and i mean anything!
Id still have my D3 if i didnt have a sudden urge for a more economical motor.
I missed my D3 everyday.. It's big boot and loads of capability
Its nice to not have to walk from the bottom of the main road to my estate in the winter! And to see over hedges again!
