Contiuned Venture cam fitting
Well decided as I was fighting the OBD II connector area of the dash and spied a suitable place for the Cam mounting to slot in!
so the lower dash is in for a make over!
firstly a bit of small mark up and cutting, leaving the leather intacted for trimming use.
NOTE: the dash panel is double skinned!, so drill the corners to get started, then the centre rectangle, then trim the rear out to get the holder to fit before the final alignment and trimming for the front where the Venture cam will deploy from, just like the FFRR!

Then the cutting!!

Then the slow process of trimming to allow the second skin, from the back the original holder to pass to the front outer skin for bonding in position once cut in correct orientation!!

This now leaves the slow cutting of the outer skin to ensure the leather trim finish is smooth and parallel with the holder to make it look factory! I hope
This way the spur into the medium can bus and the power and earth of the diagnostics wiring is easy and neat.

Colin BBS got it to work, so don't see why not once I finish the wiring which is all that is left to complete,
fitting the beasty was what I was doing first, and I bought a second lower dash so return to standard is unclip and re-clip!, so easy on these cars.FFRR SC 4.2

Okay guys, need you help to be able to order if need be unless someone can locate with some wiring a FFRR venture cam loom connection.
I need someone to let me know the plug type and part number if possible, location plug number so I can order one worst case to allow completion of this part of the project.

How does the screen switch to the video input? Knowing how this works would be a cheaper alternative to the reversing cam via GVIF.
I am thinking you remove the unit from the holder and it sends the CAN signal? If so that means we can fake the can signal with a few chips and some discrete components for ~£10
