I would like to have cruise control fitted to my D3 7-seat base D3. When I bought the car, I was informed by the dealership that the 7-seat can be supplied with factory-fitted cruise control but they were unable to locate one at the time of purchase.
So the question is, can it be fitted to my Disco, the dealership cannot confirm whether it is possible. *Disco3 7-seat Auto

Thanks Slimer, thought I'd seen it somewhere before. Doesn't bode well for getting it done. Guess I'll have to keep using the right foot, however the auto is a dream to drive, so no great hardship, it was just on my wishlist.
Thanks for your help *Disco3 7-seat Auto

Why the hell do they build D3/LR3's without cruise control? I'd give up power windows before my cruise control. But I'm probably biased in that I have to drive between Colorado and New Jersey a couple of times per year, where most of the roads are straight for as far as the eye can see.

Our little island is so crowded you hardly get a chance to use cruise control. Everytime you go up hill you catch up to the car in front and have to slow down, and going down hill you hold up the traffic! Mind you M6/M1 at 3.00 am is lovely for cruise! Disco 5 HSE Lux

I totally agree! In the uk, we do not really need cruise.
The long straights I drove in the desert seemed endless, cruise control is essential in the US.

This actually reminds me of something that happened to a friend I have who grew up in Eastern Colorado (perfectly flat, dirt roads, litterally nothing for many miles around) Him and a friend were driving around in their town of about 100 people and were both very intoxicated (stupid i know) the driver then put the cruise control on because of the long stretch of road. They both somehow passed out, and then woke up to the sound of their car plowing through a field of corn. I sometimes wonder how I get friends like these.....

My parents live in Staffordshire. Came back from their place one Sunday morning at 3.00 am, cruise control all the way for 220 miles, excluding 3 motorway junctions. A VERY relaxing journey! I can see why it would be so important in the States. Disco 5 HSE Lux

And yes, our cars overall may not handle as well........but we like our cars (any type) to be very fast in a straight line. I think you will all get a kick out of turbominivan.com.
