I did the same conversion, and had the same query. The solution was an extra feed needed to the lumbar pump wires. I have attached a screen shot of the wiring diagram to help.

Hi all,
Quick question. I'm about to get D4 electric and heated seats for my D3 basic. Will I still require a driver D4 door card with the seat buttons on it to get the seat to move? (provided I follow the instructions on here). I'm just trying to work out how I'd move it without them 🤷♂️. Cheers all.

Disregard my last post. I was getting confused with the memory seat buttons. I won't be needing those!
