I have a D3 XS now (57 reg) and one of the things I miss compared to my HSE FL2 is the mirrors folding in on lock (and unlock folding them out).
Do I 'just' need the relay fitting to enable that much? I'm not too fussed about having the switch in where I can adjust the fold on the fly (although it would be cool if not much extra effort).

Also cool was the reverse gear changing it to a different angle - I don't have memory seats, does that mean I definitely can't have that feature?

So I checked my Settings menu this morning, reverse mirror dip was off so I set it to on - and it didn't behave. Is that because I don't have the memory seats?

I know this is a old thread has anyone got the part number for the plug and pins that fit on the mirror loom to connect to the door. I have got the mirrors but no looms.

Thanks all

Do you have a D3 or D4 as the plugs and pins are different..? the plugs from a D4 don't match those on a D3 so you'll need to post which mirrors you have and what your car is ... (filling in your profile section would help Thumbs Up )

I would think you have a D3 so you can take the old plugs off your current mirrors and re-wire the new mirrors to match the connectors on the D4 mirrors but it will involve adding another wire (if you have powerfold).

I think some people have also re-terminated both sides and used push connectors...

There are several threads on how to do this Very Happy

United Kingdom 2008 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

Hi all, sorry to drag this back up but I need some guidance. I have a Discovery 3 2008 (S Model). It has electric mirrors but no power fold. I bought some D4 facelift wing mirrors (as they were a bargain) and are the last mod I want to do to the car. However I am stumped even before I start.

I bought a relay (after reading this post) and went to fit it this evening. Trouble is I cannot for the life of me find the housing for it behind the glove box? See the picture below? Do all D3s have the relay housing or is it just mine that's missing one 🤷‍♂️

If I cannot find the housing I'll just have to fit them without powerfold. It's disappointing but I've never had them in the first place.

My second question is regarding wiring the indicator in the D4 facelift wing mirror. Do I use the indicator wire from the door repeater or will the wing mirror loom take control of that.

Thank in advance for any help and assistance. It'll keep me occupied over the Easter break.

Is the mirror a functioning one. You could check individual functions by applying a voltage to correct pairs of wires and see if that part works. OOps Embarassed only read first page
