fitting off my very nice new steering wheel

I have a very nice new smooth steering wheel to fit,
I haved looked how to fit it on here but i,am alittle concern about the airbag???
If I get it wrong could I trigger the airbag?? I have replaced a few before but that was before airbags !!!

Also if I disconnect the battery does the stereo need a code when reconnected???

you only loose the electric seat settings, just make sure you wait a good 15 mins before doing the airbag, did mine a couple of days ago, all good//

if I can manage it, anyone can! Smile

disconnect battery, wait.
use hooky thing to release airbag
remove airbag (disconnect the spade connector & two airbag connector)
unscrew bolt
remove wheel

fit wheel weight & buttons (3 screws & 2 each for the switches)
fit to new wheel

refit
job done Smile

I wouldnt bother with the battery disconnect ...theres no need to . Just wait till the clock on the radio and the red EBP light go out .

I have just taken mine off again 15 mins ago ..never bothered with the battery

remember that the connectors for the airbag come out from the airbag end and not from the column side (spent ages sodding around trying to release them )
