fitting off my very nice new steering wheel |
|
I have a very nice new smooth steering wheel to fit,
I haved looked how to fit it on here but i,am alittle concern about the airbag???
If I get it wrong could I trigger the airbag?? I have replaced a few before but that was before airbags !!!
Also if I disconnect the battery does the stereo need a code when reconnected???

you only loose the electric seat settings, just make sure you wait a good 15 mins before doing the airbag, did mine a couple of days ago, all good// one wife.......livid

if I can manage it, anyone can!
disconnect battery, wait.
use hooky thing to release airbag
remove airbag (disconnect the spade connector & two airbag connector)
unscrew bolt
remove wheel
fit wheel weight & buttons (3 screws & 2 each for the switches)
fit to new wheel
refit
job done 56 HSE
