Fitting/removal of air intake grille thingie
As it's easypeasy to take off and refit the RAI, esp when I change the alan key fixings for hex bolts, I may just fit it for outings like Tunisia or when I know there might be some deep water. Before I seek out an air intake cover/grille thingie, how easy is it to fit said cover/grille thingie and take it off to put the RAI back on?? It it a case of easy to fit but I'll destroy it taking it off??
Thoughts anyone??

you could bend the tabs on the bottom of the cover if you do it lots of times, but it's no biggy Bodsys Brake Bible
That's what I considered doing for the D4, but as with the D3 tabs on mine snapped dispite being careful.
You'll also end up with the two holes/rivenuts in the wing to look at and the one in the A-pillar trim when the RAI is not on. Yes you could plug them but it would look strange.
In the end I decided to lump it and put up with the minor increase in fuel consumption.

Not too worried re the holes, was just going to plug them shorter versions of the bolts that came out. It's just whether it will be replacing the grill every time, then it is a no no. Unfortunately didn't think to get my grill cover back when I had my RAI fitted.
I might have a spare one kicking around. I'll have a look at the weekend I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
