I would suspect that the transfer module was wrapped so well due to the problems on the D3. If mine gets wet the car goes stupid. Or should i say more stupid than it is most of the time until it dries out. Anyway their goes my excuse for not getting a D4 and now thats solved just another £40K or so to go now Shocked

Sorry to resurrect an old thread rather than start a new one, but I'm prepping to fit my Odessey battery and split charge into my D4 over the next couple of weeks. It was removed from my old TD5 so I've got the kit but the one thing I can't figure out from any of the pictures (including the Flikr link)is where (or how) the threaded bar for the battery clamp attaches at the bottom.

Are there existing captive bolts at the bottom of the black plastic box, or do you need to manually drill and bolt it from the bottom (with large washers or another flat metal strap underneath)? This is the one step I can't see any detail on.

Just need to find a suitable place to mount the T-Max controller/display then.

Many thanks in advance
James

Malta 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 3

At least on the D3 there are threaded nuts embedded in the floor of the plastic box to take the threaded bar for the battery clamp. Pretty sure it will be the same for the D4 but someone will be along to confirm.

Alternatively, open up the box and have a peek, you should be able to see them
