flicking lights and locking issues
started the other day when I went to open my car and it wasn't opening properly when pressing the fob.
had to do it loads of times before I heard a tick under the bonnet and she opened. didn't know what the tick was all about but I then noticed one of the doors was not closed properly. Surely then when I was closing it originally the horn should have sounded for an open door?
Tried it again (locking) this morning with one of the doors wide open and just a dull tick and no horn ???
Then coming back to work there I shut off the ignition and before pulling out the key the radio started to flash, screen and sound and the headlights, which weren't on, started to flash
All abit strange. anyone got any suggestions/ number for an exorcist?A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Battery ?
If you left the door slightly open overnight, then the chances are you also left on the interior lights and the battery is going to be pretty low and it'll do funny things until you get it fully charged up again....
Just an idea

I was doing a job in my landy the other night and I had the door open for a long time and the interior lights went off. Now I know the landy was open, not locked up but would the lights still go off after the same amount of time?

Out of warranty Paul so they'd probably just hang up

PUlled up to a shop today, turned off the ignition and the radio was still on - played for a while then started to flicker, sound coming and going
Tried the ignition and not a peep out of it - car flat as a pancake - doors locking and hazards came on.
Gave it 15 mins and rang Marcon to be rescued ...... hung up and tried the car again and she started straight away (Rang marcon back )

I assume that when running the engine, you don't get the battery light staying on, therefore the alternator is probably charging fine.
The errors you get are always when just switched off or trying to start (which is when the alternator isn't running) so it points to the Battery. If it's the only one it's had in 5 years, then must be time for a change. Bodsys Brake Bible

This could be the problem - perhaps if I cleaned it up it would get me over the weekend
Also, pic of cluster when I got home yesterday - not sure what the 'E' is for
