My D3 has gone in for 45k service, vehicle enhancement etc, and the dealer has supplied the new Freelander TD4 as loan car. Very good, well made, and lively! But down the motorway in 6th it went from 22mpg to 26.8mpg, which wasn't quite what I was expecting! I suppose it would suppose in a few thousand miles this would improve, but it made me think that 25.6 mpg in the D3 isn't that bad!

Its not... and its far better than most large saloons too the the green's choose to ignore
