Fried Central junction box
Hi!
I heard a "poop" and quite much smoke coming into the car. Wipers and wiper flushing running mad. Not possible to start the car (and ofcourse 12h drive from home..) Anyway the car is soon on its way home by a trailer.
A local workshop diagnosted the issue and found the CJB fried.
I have been trying to search the internet for a solution, but I cant find the exact fix how to replace the box.
I have been told by LR dealer that this is locked to VIN and several months delivery time and extensive labour hours. (And they were uncertain if they did manage to program it with the necessary data.). So I have to give it a shot myself. I love the car and it has performed absolutely outstanding during the last six years.
The issue:
1) Since the car is 2005 model it seems like some has just swapped the CJB with an used unit from the same model and year and it just worked without programming.
2) Most likely it needs programming. Can this be done with IID tool?
3) I found some companies on the internet offering "CJB Clone" services. Anyone tried this or can recommend a company?
As you see in the phote it is quite fried up so I am uncertain if the eeproms are readable. (No contact with this unit when checking with IID tool. But I did see the other ECUs. So IID tool is still working.
Any tip or recommandations what to do:)?

By a kit like this and swap out cjb ecu instruments and key
Imboliser code is in all those parts which is why so much needs changing and a matched set

Pete's is a good suggestion, but first, you must find out why it fried. If a water leak then this needs to be fixed first.
