I changed mine all round for Polybush many moons ago (at least 30k).

While they do a good job they can (and do) squeak, creak and groan when fitted - I recommend using silicone spray.

That reminded me to go and spray my nuts as the old girl's bushes need sorting too.

Which penetration oil works best in your experience?

All proper penetrating oils are much of a muchness. WD40 is not really up to the task.

Alternatively, the best is a 50/50 mix of EMK and brake fluid which really gets in there.

I've had good results on seized fastenings using this stuff : NORMFEST Super Crack Ultra

You can get it from the likes of Euro Car parts, the RAC etc.

I find GT-85 to be as good as any, it is cheap and I quite like the smell. I don't use WD40.

All done, took about an hour and a half, no fuel cooler to remove and no drama with undoing any of the nuts, undid the awkward one a few turns a normal 3/8 drive socket and completed undoing it with a cutdown socket from an el cheapo set that was in the back of the workshop.

All done. Did one last night and one tonight after work, did it without ramps and that made it a little more difficult but still doable!

I bet I spent more time trying to do it without removing the under trays than it would of taken if I had just done it in the first place.

Can't believe how quiet it drives now, think I'm going to have to get a background banging noise CD - lived with it that long.

Think they were well and truly shot though!

Yes, on an 'ex-girlfriend'. My purchase from Tesco's that night consisted of batteries, condoms and KY jelly, you should have seen the look on the check-out girls face Laughing It turned out to be a very pleasant evening Whistle Whistle

Did the front arb bushes yesterday and removed the 3nr diff bolts and wedged the diff bracket out the way, so got a good socket on the upper bolt.

Another job done.

Started this job this evening, removed old drop links with no problem Bottom ARB bush bracket bolts cracked with a moderate effort. Then came to the upper nearside bolt obscured by the front diff. Big problem can't even get my 3/8 18mm socket to fit on it let alone undo it.

Help! All advice gratefully received before I start again in the morning.

That's the hard side done. On to the drivers side and instead of two studs and nuts it has a bolt with a captive nut in the chassis/subframe at the top.
