Front fog lights
I have recently purchased a 2009 Discovery 3 which has a body kit fitted and I am looking for new fog lights which are 70mm diameter and I think they are from a later model I have a part number from Land Rover which is RVUB503310 and they are £178 I really want some aftermarket ones if possible, any help would be great.

Hi tomdisco3 and welcome.
Can't say that part number means anything but original and aftermarket are available here:

If so the lights are I beleive the same ones that are fitted to the D4 and Freelander 2- if you look on the back they have the 4 mountings for the fog light like the D4

If you upload some pictures it might help just to confirm.

BTW if it is that kit, watch out that the silver trims don't get nicked as they seem a popular item for scumbags to take Must stop buying shiny toys....

Yes it is that bumper and the silver trims are the same. I just did not know which kit it is. I will try to find the lights now as I do not really want to pay £178 from Landrover.

It could be one of two things either its a genuine landrover kit - they were called a Discovery Sports Body Kit, a HST kit or a Java Kit depending on the market available at great cost- it was a crazy price of around 5k fitted from memory!
The other option was it was a kit called the Phantom from a firm in Leicestershire who sold complete cars with the kit fitted, again at serious money.
They were bundled onto a lot of stock as the D3 was being run out before the D4 launch and a lot of dealers had them for a short period to bling up D3 stock and get it out of the door.
If yours is a genuine kit it should have the LR stickers on the underside as well as the special exhaust rear boxes that have tips angled to come through the cutouts on the rear apron.

Ironically I noticed when I took the kit out of the box there is a mounting for additional front lights in the kit as well, I dont think I have ever seen anyone fit these lights - they look like the regular D3 fog light mounts but there are references online to them being the lights you originally asked about

There was a clear-out of stock from LR where they sold these kits off for next to nothing for a week or so, I was lucky enough to get one from the Netherlands via a forum member there who kindly bought up what was probably the last LR stock anywhere. Ironically the new D3 HSE I bought it for got nicked before I took delivery so I never actually fitted it and still have the new kit in my storage unit.
I also had a pair of rear backboxes modified to exit straight out of the rear exhaust slots without warping the plastic by a guy who used to build exhaust parts for WW2 aircraft restorations, and gave these to a mate who had the same rear apron on his car....Must stop buying shiny toys....

The car was bought new in Glasgow and I am told it is a Land Rover kit but wouldn't know, at the back it has two rectangular exhausts. I have only had the car for about 3 weeks and bought it with full service history having done 83,000 miles. I have added a couple of pics, the fog lamp bezels are missing because I have just finished painting them.
