front pad wear (or lack of) |
|
Just checked front pads as thought with just over 40k miles on the clock would need changing (as the backs were done last Oct at 28k). Still 6mm of pad depth left. I have had a new set in the garage for over a year and new only have 10mm on them. At this rate I might have changed the car before the pads
Also whilst having the wheels off, stuck Winters (wintracs) back on. I know, tommorow is going to be in the 20's Deg.

Mine were very similar, changed rears at 26k and fronts had plenty left at 40k.
The fronts then put the warning light on at 46k which surprised me.
The inner pads had worn slightly quicker and were down to the limit whilst the outer pads still had a few mm left.
They definitely wear quicker when they get low.
Discs were about half worn so just put another set of pads in. D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!
