Front Parking sensor dimension |
|
I've just bought one of Nick's bodykits and now I'm needing 4 front parking sensors!
I'm not going to fork out the £120 LR want, so am looking at aftermarket kits.
Does anyone know the size of the OEM FRONT PCD's? I'm getting 3 sizes available, 18mm,20mm & 22mm
Cheers 57 RRS TDV8

I thought kits come with sensors. Do you need to buy the fog lamps also?
Just ordered the arch set, unsure still on the bumpers.

Bumper comes with fogs plugged in (spoke to Nick this morning and he was as surprised as me, but he was looking at my kit in the box, and the fogs are there & pre-wired )
No sensors though...just the holes and mounting bezels 57 RRS TDV8

Not sure on the OEM sizes but I used aftermarket ones and have been really pleased.
They fit in with a little glue and have been on for over a year now
Have a look here http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/dolphin_au...ensors.asp

Did you stick them in the OEM holes? or did you drill new ones. 57 RRS TDV8

Cut out the holes as they are marked out , bought the Bezels from TLO and fitted the sensors straight in but had to use a small amount of glue to hold them in , all looks original

cheers.
The holes (and bezels) are OEM, so if you got and used the bezels from Nick, then the fittment will be identical... nice one... just need a dab of superglue then? on the back? 57 RRS TDV8

If yer gonna be using the same PDC kit as I did , the one in the link , then they will fit nicely into the OEM LR Bezels , but need to hold in with glue.
I used Bostik , All Purpose extra strong clear adhesive and put around the sensor body , not too much though as when you push it into the bezel it will all come out over the bezel
