Front speakers no sound at all

The front speakers of my 2010 D4 XS just suddenly fell silent whilst on the motorway. The radio and CD etc appear to work fine but there is absolutely nothing from the front speakers at all. If you set the fader to the front the stereo just fades to silence. Of course this also affects the telephone too which picks up a call fine but again remains completely silent as the phone uses just the front speaker.

Any help would be appreciated

Can anyone enlighten me on where the actual sound system components are in the thing? |There is what looks like an amp under the driver's seat, but is the head unit actually in the dash somewhere or hidden away somewhere else, for example? Is there a useful wiring diagram etc somewhere I can access?

Just for your info, last year, due to the weak battery, my sound system didn't play the right channel. I done a car reset with the IIDTool and the car channel came back
