Front suspension arms from Disoc3 fitted on Disco4 |
|
Hello everyone
I've got a question on the suspension arms, which I hope you could answer.
I have bought a used Disoc4 2010 and during my recent trip to my local LandRover garage I have been told that my front suspension arms are from a wrong Land Rover model. Apparently, they are from the Disco3 and not Disco4. The model numbers that I have are LR028249 and LR075993 respectively. They have told me that I should change it to the right parts and that it should cost me around 1K to do it including parts and labour.
Could someone tell me if this is indeed the case and that I should change the parts or is LR garage is just trying to make a bit of extra cash by replacing something that should not be replaced?
From what I've read, Disco3 and Disco4 are very similar and most parts are actually the same when it comes to suspension.

Thanks Geoff
so, from what I gather, this is exactly the same part that fits both the Disco3 and Disco4 models. So it seems the garage is trying to increase their profit after all.
