If you just mean the plastic under the bumper... It's just a matter of twisting the 8 or so plastic lugs.As you slide down the banister of life

All you need is a 50p coin, or similar, even the round end of your front door key will usually fit nicely (a screw driver tends to be too thin and damages the slots)
Turn them 90 deg and the cover will come off - refitting is simply a reversal of this Never get mad - get even !!

It's a bit of a faff getting it off but putting it back is even harder. I couldn't resist chhecking it out ready for when I get stuck so just used a yale key from my pocket the day after I got the car home. For some reason you seem to need to apply 2-3 times the pressure to lock the tabs back on than to undo them in the first place. Some of the plastic is now chewed up as the key slipped rather a lot whilst I was messing about.
A coin is probably better than a key but a large (really karge!!) screwdriver would probably be best as it will give you most control over pressure and application of force.
As mentioned simply turn the 8 or so plastic lugs and jiggle them out of their holes. The plastic moulding then simply drops out, refitting is simply a reversal of removing (as they always say).

When my car was recovered by LRA they took it off, when i got the car back eventually it was still off and when I looked under a lot of the white inserts on the car that the plastic cover screws went into had dissapeared meaning there was nothing to fix it to, someone on here maybe able to explain how these can fall out. These had to be replaced so watch you don't lose them.

The white plastic inserts just slide into place, Now if during removal of the cover a ham fisted person has applied too much pressure to the black twist clips then this sometimes dislodges the white clips thus making them easy to slide out with vibration etc
hope this helps
ps when removing the cover always push the white retainers into place with a flat blade screwdriver or similar to avoid these things dropping out Steve

I binned my original plastic cover and fitted a Mantec sump guard instead, much more durable while offering protection to the intercooler - and the towing eye is always accessible.Clive
