Front Towing Eye Cover Options

When I brought my D3 the front Towing eye cover was broken with a few bits still attached.

I was planning on making a replacement out of alloy checker plate, but wondered if any one is retailing them to save the time?

A lot more substantial, like this one, and doesn't come off when going through puddles. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I like it Smile

If you are serious for offroad especially with dealing with stone, consider to invest on skid plate (especially front)

good luck for hunting

I drilled a small hole in mine and attached it to the tow eye with some nylon cord....about 9 inches long...if it comes off now it stays with the car.experience learned from nearly loosing one

I took mine off to have good access to the towing eye when laning and snapped a couple of the clips. I have just left it off now (personally think it looks better and gives permanent access).

Is there any issue with leaving it off permanently? If not then I am happy to send it on if someone wants it for delivery cost. Will need the trim clips replacing though.
