Front wishbones knocking again, only 30k miles!
I had both front lower wishbones replaced 2 years ago, done at a main dealer with genuine parts.
Now, after 28000 miles it looks like the wishbones need replacing again! There is a sharp knock or clunk from right hand front when I dab the brakes or hit a pot hole.
This seems to be a really low mileage for a bush failure. Is there something else that can cause the same symptom? I can’t find anything obviously wrong?

The genuine arms don't seem to be lasting as well nowadays.
My own lasted 40k before they developed a steering wobble under braking
The 2nd set lasted a similar mileage before being advised at its MOT...
I have no problems with the Meyle ones from Advanced .

Them too
We keep 3 sets of Meyle HD arms in stock, as we do fit them fairly regularly
Have seen 12 month old budget arms fail MOT's, stay clear of them...My D3 Build Thread
When I queried using Flack for servicing with my warranty firm ( not WD ), they admitted verbally that they couldn't enforce the VAT registration thing but included it to discourage use of smaller firms … logic being bigger firms are better. Many on here have, sadly, found that is no guarantee of good work.
Worth speaking to them I'd say.

I get told when making claims, that they won't pay the VAT element for non-Vat companies
Which is odd, as a NON-VAT company shouldn't be charging VAT anyway...My D3 Build Thread

The VaT issue is awkward, as even if you as a supplier are not vat registered, you still have to pay vat if you buy your components in from vat registered companies.
I’m no accountant, but it’s probably something to do with the Vat reclaim chain down though the list of various manufacturers and suppliers to come up with a fitted end product.
