I have an old Frontrunner roof rack that was easily modified to fit my D3, came off a D2, as I live in Kent and all car parks seem to have 2 M height barrier, I mounted the RR to still be under 2m on standard height this lead to a problem of massive judder of vehicles body at anything over 40mph, on the D2 there was an odd plate at the front that looked like an air dam, which I had removed, I refitted it and judder went, seems it’s an air diffuser, or less mpg plate.
Although the roof rack is meant to be light weight it’s still heavy and flex’s a lot more than a steel one, I may have it too close to the roof line and cross mounted struts I believe all mount up to the vibration without the diffuser, ask the question does it need the diffuser?
Have seen a roof rack that’s longitude struts for the D3 which I would think cuts down on wind disturbance above the roof, sorry I didn’t take note on the make.
Think twice about a roof rack lol, mine carries all extra lighting, awning. Now thinking of a way to-remove single handed with out use of a forklift as only need for touring. Discovery 3 HSE 07

Hi - I happen to be a FR dealer and can offer fair discounts on Front Runner stuff compared to any other UK based seller. Happy to quote you for a rack?
(Admin, if not allowed I apologise, not trying to Spam, just help a guy out who is after a rack!)
I have a full length rack on mine at all times, dropping the air suspension allows me into 2m height barrier car parks. Wind noise isn't an issue if installed correctly, although if you stick a light bar on the front it starts getting a bit noisy. Flex wise, i'm only 13 stone, but, no issues for me walking around - I always make sure weight is across two slats.

I have a full length on mine.
It’s a very good rack, strong and can be walked on easily with no issues.
Plus there is a huge amount of accessories for it compared to other racks.
My only issue is the non aluminium parts don’t have the best of weather protection.
Discolouring and rust issues on mine let it down which will be sorted when free time allows.
