D3 2009 HSE central locking remote receiver
Good evening guys...I would be really grateful for any assistance, I have been trying to fix an ongoing central locking fault, after going through lots of posts and comments i can't find what I'm looking for. My question is: I have tested for power to the unit and have a 12v power feed / supply (green and white wire) to my remote receiver but still no central locking so I'm looking to replace this part, I have found a second-hand remote receiver for sale with near identical part numbers etc, i'm thinking that the numbers will differ slightly, with manufacture date etc....is this a just plug and play without programming or will I need to get it programmed? Thank you for any help.

One would think it has to match the key and frequency

Iโm guessing you have already tried the green wire splice
If not search it on here thereโs been lots that needed it as did I when my locking wouldnโt work

Thanks Andy....what year is yours? I have looked for the splice and couldn't find it, someone on here said as its a 2009 the wiring loom was changed so its not there. I have a 12v feed on the green and white wire to the remote receiver in the roof lining so I'm taking that as there's no break in the wire that feeds it....stuck as to what to do or check next ๐ค

Have you considered that the fob could be faulty or need reprograming. If you have a tool to reprogram the key try that. My Foxwell allows key programming

Hi Globetrotter....I have a spare key that came with the car and it stopped working a while back, I sent it off for refurb and last night with my foxwell tried reprogramming the 2 keys. I put my original working key in first and then the refurbed one, it said run the car for 6 minutes, turning the refurbed key didn't start the car so i started it with my original key and ran the engine for 6mins and still the refurbed key doesn't work ๐ค... can you remember any issues with your foxwell when you reprogrammed your keys?...thanks ๐

My Foxwell is the NT510. All I did was follow the instructions on the screen. Both my keys I had taken to bits and soldered new batteries into them. I purchased new cases from eBay as I destroyed the old ones. I then set the Foxwell to program the keys and just followed what it said. Sorry I cannot help any more.
