Hi to all members
I am a new member of disco3, although I have been on the site many times it makes interesting reading, if you have a problem with the disco can usually find the answer here.
Except this time cannot find the solution anyone help please.
Drove through water in road broke down, no fuel pump working. Left the car a few days ignition on pump working again, the same happened last week water again pump stopped.
Thought it may be a loose wire but cannot find anything obvious.
Does anyone know if the the 2 big plugs by the back n/s wheel have anything to do with the fuel supply ?

I can’t remember if there any plugs in the drivers front wheel arch at the bottom.
It’s where I would look.
Or follow the tank wires !

Suggest you refrain from water till you find the problem connector. Are any of the carpets wet as under the door frames is where all wires run and they are known for all sorts of problems

Not totally sure, but there have been problems down the passenger side sill (LH side when sitting in car)

No wire plugs there
although there are some going through the body but they look ok
I read somewhere the fuel pump wire is white with purple stripe but I cannot find it beyond the n/s headlight
maybe I'm on the wrong track
at the back n/s wheel arch seems where most water could get into the plugs but I don't know if any are for the fuel supply

yes it does appear to be a white/purple wire
it must be on a connector in the passenger front wheel arch then.
there are at least 3 plugs there

Hi Pete
I'm sure there was no connectors under the front n/s inner arch
I remember looking when I had a problem with suspension last year nearest I can find is a big multi plug by washer bottle that has a purple and white when ignition is turned on it gives power for around 45 seconds I take it that would be to prime the pump
the wiring loom goes down to by coolant bottle then disappears cannot see it after that
probably if I had a ramp it would be easier but the car is outside my back door

What year is the vehicle. Prior to 2007 the plugs where in the LH wheel arch, after 2007 the plugs are up by LH headlamp.

Thanks for the reply Globetrotter
that will save me stripping that side also
I thought there were no wires under that arch when I removed it last year
it is a 2007.But annoying gremlin somewhere.
I was hoping that there maybe another plug or connection visable but cannot find anything
I've checked all fuses they seem to be ok,also I read that maybe wires can rub on propshaft behind
the heat shield that might be my next project but space is tight under the car.
Storm Dennis eased off a bit today so back out for a few hours.
