BTW, DG, are you sure it's 433? My guess would have been 2.4GHz. I've seen a few reports in other forums of people managing to receive wireless security cameras in shops with their FFRR screen! So I doubt it's encoded, probably just plain analogue video.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

I have just dowloaded the pdf file from landrover and it says its 2.45ghz !!!
Got one of ebay as i have a small wireless reciever ..dont know if its gonna be on the same frequency.
Cant try it as its arrived completly flat (or broken).Im gonna have to find someone kind enough to let me try it in there docking station to make sure it actually works before i knock up some sort of charger for it.
Cant even get it apart to check the terminals etc ..seems to be stuck together.
Oh well it seemed a good idea at the time G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

The reason I didn't think it was 433MHz is because that's right in the middle of an Amateur radio band (70cm). 433 is a small licence exempt part of the band and is normally used for short range low bandwidth consumer stuff - remote central locking, wireless alarms possibly, etc, but I didn't think it'd have had the bandwidth available for a video channel.
433 is well below UHF TV. The TV bit probably refers to the wireless TV/AV senders that exist which operate in the 2.4GHz band.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

It might be possible that it uses 433mhZ to signal to the vehicle when to switch to the venture cam though, especially if the car can only listen on 2.4GHz for either Bluetooth phones OR the VC. IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
