Oh no. What is he upto now Laughing

That nokia kit looks like it has been connected correctly. (ability to mute radio)

So you want a connection when the key is in? and turned to I ?

The amp fuse looks a battery supply to me at first glance

You could test that nokia 1A fuse. That should be an ignition supply.

or piggy back off the cigar lighter fuse

or maybe the 2 pin white/ yellow joined connector behind the radio (green/white wire)

Rolling with laughter

Need to finish installing the aux fuse box inside the upper glove box for the gauge panel and ancillaries

Wiring will all be done then, indeed just need this ign live for when the engine is running

Ah, see what u mean , fuse F42 might be a permanent live and not a switched live

I see there’s 2 x cigar lighter fuses , they now power my lower gauge / usb / cig / panel

Adding ancillaries up comes to 10x amps

This ref the Nokia , just don’t like the insulating tape used instead of proper heat shrink

There’s no power socket in the second row , fuse F19 , rated at 15 x amps so plenty for what I’ll ever need

Do u think that one would be better to use please , can easily put a multimeter in it to ensure it only comes on with the key in

Also remembered I’ve got to put the piggy back fuse the right way round Whistle

Do apologise asking He daft question and ur a legend in how you’ve helped me

Oh and fixed the upper glove box, know u said about the catch sometimes catching , all sorted Thumbs Up

Thks so much Pete and u must be a gluten for punishment Bow down

Round at my mechanic friend the other day, saw the piggy back fuses he uses ... plugs in like a fuse but one side is a pin and other side has pin and wire but they are isolated. There are then two spaces to fit fuses, one between the 2 pins and other between wire and pin , so both existing and new circuits are independently fused and neither blowing requires a new piggy back thingy to be bought.

Hi

Thks, assume to put a fuse in the top fuse slot , then use a DMM to see which side of the F19 fuse is live when the ign is turned on so I can put the piggy back fuse the right way round Whistle

Also just seen fuse F20 is for the sunroof, also haven’t got one Laughing

found the thread of how to connect the wires in the footwell , for the audio aux , save me trying to mess around with the connector on the back of the radio seeing its already been cut into

Just found the footwell wires

Also looked on the radio connector , think it will be easier to go from there straight into the upper glove where my aux socket is

Looks like radio connector pins are 7-8-12 or 6-7-8 , need to have another search

Or de pin 10-11-12 in the passenger footwell and simply connect to the wires leaving the radio connector alone ??

As won’t ever install an aux socket in the middle seat row

Thks Pete

Apologises being a pain as per usual , what number pins please, is it pins 7-8-12 , thks

So as u say just cut the black lead with the 3 wires ,then reconnect it onto the back of the radio , inc leaving the other side of the cut wire alone as indeed that will be dead

removed the black insulating tape, no heat shrink at all Big Cry , will sort all that out

Had a quick look to see if there were indeed any wires in the middle row rear glovebox and found 3 x connectors

Thks as always Bow down
