Well Hello all on the D3 forum.
My first post this!.
Found a locla group to me and went to the meet. Met up with Si, Sue & Phil and company form the DOC. Had a good evening.
So, to business, where do I look for a G4 roof rack or is that a stupid question?.

Welcome to the board. You're right. It's a stoopid question! How unrealistic to expect that a major branding exercise might be reinforced by actual product availability?!
The G4 rack has just appeared in the Land Rover 'One Life' magazine, which suggested that a G4 pack would be available now at dealers. Mine knows nothing of this, and from another post a few days ago it would appear that other dealers don't know either.
The expedition roof rack can be bought as a standard accessory, but is only rated to 75 kg I think. Enough for skis, a few bikes or a small roof box, but no good for roof tent, spare tyres or big box. Probably down to the rail mount points?
If you already have a D3 then you ought to get the 'One life' magazine through the letterbox- mine came a week ago. Some of the posters here suggest that circulation may be a 'bit random'.

Kevin thanks for the swift response. I thought it was a dum question at the time but if you don;t ask.......
I have got the D3 now. Been driving it for 5 days. Love it.
I have just received note of the ARB winch bumper but no prices yet.
I have a picture but am not sure how to put it on here.

The ARB is a bit serious for the UK if it is the one that your front plastic has to be completely removed. Check it out first.

Hi Nick,
I'm think the G4 rack is just the Expedition rack with lights on the front. There's fitting instructions for some (all?) of the G4 kit on the Owner Info site and there's no sign of a separate G4 rack, but until dealers actually get them in and LR release a brochure or two we won't really know.
ARB winch bumper looks very substantial but I think it ruins the looks of the D3. I've got a winch on mine now you can have a look at at the next DOC meet
