G4 Roof rack (PN: CAB500021PMA) brackets to fit to roof rail
Hi
I was given a G4 roofrack when I purchased an 55 plate D3 HSE. It does not have the brackets to attach to the roof rails (which are already on). The rails I have are also just on the higher part of the roof, not the lower, front section and pictures I have seen of the G4 roofrack look as though they are attached there as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction for the parts I have missing and advise if I need to install front roof rails?

Andy, unfortunately they are NOT available seperate, but somebody here had the dimensions to make some up, thats the only way I am afraid, you dont need front rails as the rack mounting points are under the rubber trim, normally a 19mm hole is required in the trim and the fixing for the rack goes over the hole

Thank you for the prompt reply. If anyone knows of these fixings then please drop me a line. My other thought it to buy roof bars and attach the G4 rack to these. I'd be careful with weight etc. Can anyone recommend a particularily low bar for the D3. Don't worry about replying with standard ones as I have found loads of those and don't want to waste your time.

You may have to get some brackets made up ..sizes here

Brilliant, thank you. These are the front ones only though, is this correct? For the four rear ones I have been drawing a cross section of the roof rail and trying to figure a way to attach the roof rack onto these, do you have any suggestions for this?

Yes ..front brackets
Rears are just a flat plate that has a couple of bolts welded into ..they slide into the exsisting car roof rails .
Wil try and dig out a photo of themG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Do anyone try to fix this roof rack system with extanded roof rails as on photo ?
Can it replace the Front rack bracket ?

Do the Expedition ROOF RACK (ref: CAB500021PMA) can be fixed on top of the car with an extended roff rail kit that can replace the front brackets.

The expedition roof rack can be used with the extended rails but I understand that some mods to the bracketry are required
