Disco3newbie and bellautos, cheers... had been looking at both of them online, but just been waaaay too busy at the moment at work to get time to actually call them up to have a chat about either one.
Craig S-L, I did see a couple of 55 plate V8s for sale... had been wondering about LPG'ing one as it would then be as good(bad?) fuel wise... although the only real issue is having to plan your drive past lpg stations (up here anyway). The 06 ones (mainly being 55 plates) are cheaper on the tax too. Out of interest... what kind of mpg you getting out of the V8? IIRC my old V8i was pretty much single figures (either on petrol or lpg).
Still debating which would be the better option... newer motor with next to no mileage on it, or a similar aged vehicle (with similar miles) to the STi I have at the moment, which would be cheaper to buy and cheaper to tax (but cost more in fuel I'm expecting).
I average 15-17 depending on how I am driving - single figures is possible if you are being generous with your right footCraig
