'G4 Trek' Discoveries & FFRR's |
|
On M40 Birmingham today, saw 2 x Transporters loaded with 'G4 Trek' Discoveries and FFRR's.
they were:-
Silver with a broad black strip running down the rear, a broad orange strip running down the bonnet and front.
Orange 'G4 Trek' door stickers and an orange splodge graphic on rear side doors.
Didn't know anything about these until sitting in JE Engineering perusing the LR magazines, I came accross an article.
As far as I understand, the 'G4 Trek' is a mini 'G4 Challenge' set up for LR dealers.
My dealer Ripon Land Rover won the Northern heat.
Anybody know anything else? I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

That's correct.. It's for the UK dealers who all entered a team of 3 people to take part in regional selections around the UK over the past 2 months.
The final of 18 teams were at Eastnor this Friday, Sat & Sun. They all were pushed to the limits and slept in tents on Friday & Sat night by the Obilisc. It was -4 up there on Friday night! Best bit was the 300m zip line from the Castle turret across the lake.
The winners got some dosh and to go on one of the G4 event recces next year with the setup crew. pretty amazing prize!
Land Rover are hoping to get other countries to do the same thing next year with a International Final here in the UK late next year or early 2009.

All I know is that on our heat at Ashford it was ing cold. And my training regime of cutting down to 40 tabs per day was clearly not enough. It is summatt for younger, fitter people than I
I think TFC's lad was at the final for his dealership

What were you doing down at JE Engineering Ron? Not more modifications?

Anybody know anything else? Wish I had a D3, but at least I now have a Landie - YIPEE

Having my 'tune' reinstalled after the tw*ts at my dealer overwrote it when in for service!!
Only found out it had gone when attempting an overtake on an 'A' road the day after I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
