Gap lld bt diagnostic tool
Can anyone help a complete technophobe,I bought the above tool to reset the service interval counter registered the device to my car and when servicing my brother in laws d4 have not got to the right part of the menu to reset his (mine is not ready yet) I assumed it would do this although his is not registered to the tool ,any ideas,thanks in anticipation.

Yes, AFAIK you'd need a licence for BIL's car to reset the service thingie.
2011 D4 XS - OBD port protection, RLD spare wheel protector, All LED interiors lights, Timed Climate enabled, iiD tool paired.

Thanks for reply,I have just connected to my D4 but cannot see which menu to go to to reset the service indicator,not that its needed yet,any ideas.

RTFM? From memory, it's in the Service Menu. As Del said, to access the advanced features on another vehicle, you'll need an additional licence. If you want one, email Pat at GAP and he'll sort it out for you. You could get the BIL to pay for it too D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT

Got three licenses on mine. My D3, my D4 and my folks' D4. The latter I think of as forward planning.

I have just received a email from Pat at Gap and he tells me the oil reset is not vin locked so will not need an additional license,we live and learn,thanks for replys.
