can anyone recommend what size shackles to get to fit the big yellow hooks onto normal cars.

I carry a 2t and 3.5t D-shackle in amongst all the "proper" recovery kit for hard-to-reach recovery eyes on normal 2wd cars. Used them to good effect in the recent snow. Shackles also allow you to double-up a 10m rope if needed Thumbs Up I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Thumbs Up Two ropes received yesterday, pristine (not for long). Now I just need to find something to tow, where has the snow gone when you need it ..?

I saw above the suggested use of a shackle to double up the 10m rope for example. Is this acceptable, doubling back a rope under stress through a shackle? 2016 D4 Landmark SDV6 (Euro6), Zanzibar (late run D4)
2009 D4 HSE TDV6, Bali blue (first run D4)
2007 RRS TDV8 HSE, some blue
