Need a bit of help....

Got the airbag off, used maplin plugs with 12a wire into the car side of the clock spring, put it all back together, then took it off as the plastic back on the new steering wheel wouldn't accommodate the telephone buttons so had to shift the heater ecu over to the old plastic back which is a slightly different shape.

So done that...

So the question.... which wire on the car side of the wheel is the positive feed to the heated wheel ecu . The outer (furthest away from the centre of the wheel) or the inner. Just want to check before I blow up the ecu!!!

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave,

This thread should help:
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic43831-60.html

If that's the connector you're asking about,
Brown Pin 1 is -ve
Red outside Pin 2 is +ve

edit: pic of the inside connector:

Thanks Dylan! Thumbs Up

That's the one!! Very Happy

I found another topic, using the mysterious search engine results that suggested using the drivers door puddle light connector and managed to work out the wiring from that. So now I have a toasty steering wheel and no puddle light for now!

Cheers
Dave
