Tips on fitting new steering rack

Just got my new rack and thought I’d ask the forum if there are any do’s and fonts when removing the old rack and fitting the new one

I imagine you will need to catch the fluid and/or purchase some of the special (green) LR "Cold climate" fluid.

Unless you have an IID tool, make sure you have the new rack set at the same point of travel as the old one, else you'll get lots of bongs.

you can't just get it anywhere.

Have a look on ebay to start with.

would need 1 or 2 litres.

Worth taking the bottle off too, and clean it out with petrol to get all the muck off the sides.
