Mornin all, 1st & 2nd gear very notchy especially when cold on 07 D3 manual just coming for 105k big un, clutch pedal is very high & have had a couple of clutch slips when overtaking so sounds as though that is on the way out but worried about gearbox too or would this be symptom of clutch, 2 gear is worst. D4 XS

The clutch on my D3 was doing the same on the motorway when overtaking.
Needed new clutch and flywheel. When they were refitted the gearbox this then played up and I needed a new one.
I would get a warranty ASAP that covers the gearbox if you haven't already.
PS: I meant to say mine went at 96k miles SOLD - 23my Range Rover Sport D300 Dynamic SE

I'd try a gearbox oil change to see if that helps.
At 96k it would certainly benefit from one.
Many of us Auto's experienced judders at that sort of mileage, which were cured with an oil change.
LR oil change times are far too long IMO. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Yep, I knew it was manual, just referring to auto problems that were sorted with an oil change. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Thanks guys, think i'ell change oil & run for few miles before she go's in for service & see if it makes any difference. Forgot to mention there's a slight wine when accelerating low speed in 2nd & 3rd gear too D4 XS

SSSSHHHHHH Andy, it mite be listening!!! thats reasuring to hear, but its the combination of the notchyness & the wineing which is worrying, maybe just getting paraniode, have taken out warranty with warranty direct about 2 months ago. D4 XS
