I thought this might provoke a strong response! 3 months and she still hasnt warmed to it, so probably never will. I did point out that she drives a Mazda 323, people in glass houses and all that. I also pointed out how particularly flammable Mazdas are when introduced to a can of petrol and a box of matches..... that one didnt go down very well www.Bitter-sweet.co.uk

Have you let her have a go at driving it yet? Or is it a case of prising the keys from your cold dead fingers (like in our household!!)
I'm sure once she has 'had a go' she will be converted!!As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way

I had an X5, i bought it new and i kept it for nearly 3 years. I wanted something different so i bought myself a D3. Dont get me wrong, the X5 was a nice drive and i had it fully loaded but for me the D3 is fantastic, it has more space, its a real 4x4!
Would i get rid for another X5?......Would i 07 D3 Zermatt Silver, Stainless Steel Tubes, Chrome Mirror caps, Tints.

You have hit the nail on the head there, X5 is a bloody good drive if driven hard. Very nice car, but it lacks a certain something, no permagrin for a start, wish I'd got a D3 last time round, its just 'kin brilliant. Also the D3 is a fair bit heavier, but seems much cheaper to run. The D3 feels like a proper blokes car, so chunky. Am I the only one who likes to put it in off road height in traffic to 'bully' my way through??!! Just need MTR's and I will be a happy man. www.Bitter-sweet.co.uk
