Does the glow plug resistance change with temperature?

From the webasto manual it says 0.3-0.4 ohm @ 24C.
I measured mine outside at about 0C and it was about 1ohm. So I wonder if the resistance change with temperature or if mine is Censored . Because my heater won't fire up. I've cleaned everything out and it worked for a while then seemed to shut off too soon and now it no longer turns on again.

I would have expected the resistance to increase with temperature. Can you switch it on then off and measure before it cools?.
Not easy to understand what might be happening. A partial internal short would reduce the resistance. Possible corrosion problem?.

Good luck

Yes, Resistance does change with temperature.
Not certain of the wire used in the FBH,
But if you Google "Temperature Coefficient of Copper" should answer...

I thought so based on my experience with water and air temp sensors but they often have a diagram to reference the resistance to the temperature so you could check resistance at various temps but I can't find that for this part, only the resistance at 24C.
Also read that you can't use a two conductor measuring method so that means my measurements might not be accurate actually.
