3 months old and the right hand side was loose, you have to love 'em down there at LR.

3 weeks old, both nuts tight, HOWEVER, reported rattle in rear door at right rear, took it back within first two days, they fixed it, no problem, but wonder whether that was the rattle!

So how much can we claim from LR for saving them all the cost and hassle now we've all "fixed" their problem. A nice contribution towards the forum would be a nice gesture.

Right-hand strut loose, by about 2 turns. I must have a wide set of spanners, because it was not easy.

Both struts loose and the car is only three weeks old. RHS was 1 full turn and the LHS was quarter of a turn.

Robbie / all, you could always get a 13mm socket over the ball mount once you have released the bottom spring clip, if you have a torque wrench, this will ensure the correct amount of 'tightness'

This is going to be a massive headache for Land Rover. Judging by the number affected on this forum, they will be fixing thousands before long.
I do hope they are watching, and do something about it.
While we are discussing "TORQUE RELAXATION" (LR speak for loose) check your door check strap mountings. Both my front doors straps were loose when I checked yesterday. They are secured by two torx screws. These could also go the same way as the tailgate.
The reason I checked them was I saw the bracket move when I opened the door to clean the dirt from the inside of the door seal.

Both struts flush and tight.

Spoke to my dealer earlier and they already checked mine apparently as there was a service bulletin about it.
Nice to know some are with it
Gonna double check though just in case as it did look a smidgen different on the RHS.

Left fine - Right about 4-5 turns out - pitch black outside so tempoary nip - I'll loctite at the weekend

Same here, left hand side fine, right hand side loose at the 'car' end but fine at the 'boot' end Took about 2 turns - out tomo to buy some threadlock.
Can I assume that it is OK to remove the strut, and take the nut completely off to allow application of the threadlock?'
