Should have gone to Spec Savers

Now at the end of our drive found this parked on double yellow lines, blocking the pavement, our drive and an unpaved road.

Young female driver was not impressed when asked if she had a driving licence then she did not approve of my suggestion that she bought and studied a copy of the Highway code.

Was I tempted to nudge it out of the way? YES but I resisted the temptation.

Why does she need to go to spec savers? Double yellows finished 5 yards down the road in direction she was travelling!

Will not comment about her driving further down the road!

Tut tut J77 that might have meant me posting in the politics section otherwise I would upset some people! Whistle

Now seeing how she went round the bend at the end of the road on the wrong side due to parked vehicles forcing an oncoming vehicle to stop my conclusion was passed driving test but had not learnt the practical real life driving.

This brought back memories of my time in London in the 1980's. I came out to go to work one morning to find someone had parked a Mini Metro across my driveway. Shocked Luckily my trusty Range Rover was parked on the road outside, and very conveniently behind the Metro. Razz

I didn't like doing it but I had to get my work vehicle out, so I nudged up with the RR in low box and gently lifted the clutch. The Metro proceeded to jump and lurch like that Buckaroo game of the same period. Laughing It was then I realised the driver of the Metro had left it in reverse gear whilst I was pushing it forward. Rolling with laughter

The crunching noises I'll never forget, I'm sure tho owner hasn't forgotten the repair bill either. Laughing

In our old house we had a problem with people blocking the driveway. Me and a neighbour bounced a few out of the way over the years, it's surprisingly effective as long as it's not an auto in Park.

Just push it onto the other side of the road.
People parking like that deserve the damage - looking at the picture she was nearly on your drive, never mind blocking the pavement and parking on double yellow lines.

Yes Ken a dropped kerb installed many years ago by the council.

Which reminds me that someone complained to the council about us parking on our drive and the council suggested that we applied retrospectively for planning permission. My response was a very polite go multiply as the drive predated about 3 acts of parliament by a decade or two so no need for us to apply retrospectively. Never heard anything after that.
