Internet users in 2004/5 were 8-900 million or so - around 13% of the world's population. Internet users now - over 3,675 million - over 50% of the world's population.
Calculate that back and that makes the D3 site pickup over 3 times the rate relative to the number of internet users...
Proves nothing of course except the futility of such statistics.
My post says Members not users FatBloke commented on the fact that there were only 194 Members on the D5 site, I compared the time period it took the D3 site to get 194 Members compared to the D5 site to get 194 Members The D5 site hit 194 quicker than the D3. Fact In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
OK - users was just my choice of words - but the point is that if you want to read anything into the numbers, you have to bear in mind that there were significantly fewer people on the internet back when Disco3 was started, so you would expect Disco5 today to pick up members faster. If you adjust for world internet users, then Disco3 picked up much faster, but there are, of course, many more variables that would have to be factored in to make a meaningful statistic of it. I too actually like the Explorer. It even as the same Terrain program selector as a Land Rover, probably because Ford owns the rights too it, as at the time it was developed LR was owned by Ford.
I too think that the Explorer would do OK in the UK/Europe. Would need a decent diesel engine though. But I am sure that wouldn't be a problem.
