New to the forum, currently own a FL2 but considering moving up to a Discovery 4. My question is, I can pick up a new D4 XS compete with Xenons and met paint for £40777 less a dealer deposit of £1200.
What do you guys reckon - good deal?[/code]

Sounds like a cracking deal, what dose "dealer deposit" mean
What is the actual price to you ?
Is it a landrover franchise dealer, UK car, not grey import, latest 8 speed model ?
As a guide I bought a 12 month old one , with a few bits, met paint, camera etc for £36k

Have the dealers arm off!! That sounds a cracking deal 15% saving over list!!
I paid more for a 6mth old same spec (but with full size spare and tow pack).
If you don't want it I am sure someone else wants it.

Brand new UK veh built to order, the £1200 dealer contribution is a gesture for repeat business - I would pay £39500 on the road inc tax and full tank of fuel at rubber mats if I go for it.

That would be a 'forces' discount then?
Either that or JLR employee?
Otherwise.... spill the beans, we all want to know!! Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

Yep Forces Discount - not as much as I got for the Freelander which was 13%. Just think if I was posted in Germany the discount would be 33%!!!
