Would you prefer some well thought through Brown bashing? Pick a subject and we'll reel them off I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I don't mind well thought out, robust debate, but you can't blame Gord just 'cos the law says you need something to be legal. I thought Tacho's were introduced for commercial vehicles years and years ago, probably before Gordon was elected in 1983...
I'm sure there's plenty of stuff people are unhappy with at the moment, especially as the media are having a field day. May be they'll get bored with Labour and start asking difficult questions of Mr Cameron and his mates. Does anyone know if the Conservatives have promised to repeal Tacho legislation?

At the risk of really going off topic, I'm sure if we pursue this thread a bit longer, "Just call me Dave" will definately include it if he thinks we'll all vote for it!

I'll vote for it (although I have no need to for that particular section)
Soprry Spikey, but the current climate woiuld have come upon us anyway even withoiut Gordo's help as chief cash counter. But sellling a wedge of our gold reserves just when they were at al all time low was a really stoopid thing to do. Sell at $300 and they're now over $1000..........

You don't vote for the individual you vote for the party Otherwise, it would be President Gord 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Like the selective mis-quote
True, no one voted for Brown as Prime Minister, but then technically no one votes for the Prime Minister, only the person they are represented by in the commons, unless of course they happen to live in the same constituency... I agree that selling gold low was not the best plan, but frankly, where I live in West Leeds, it was really, really dire in the early to mid 1990's with whole estates where everyone was out of work, no youth employment and when the minimum wage came after 1997, over half the workforce here received a pay rise, so many people here have much to be grateful for even if they don't remember it all.
Still that doesn't help bigdave and his Tacho problem and I do agree that red tape can really be a problem when you run a business, but at the risk of going off on another tangent, I suspect it is actually European legislation...

didn't seem to make a difference when Maggie got thrown out and the Curry shagger took over 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
