Got oily with the D3 for the first time.... |
|
....am I now BAS qualified?
Replaced the oil temp sensor to resolve an intermittent issue that I'd had for a while on my D3 2.7 TDV6 where the indicated engine temp would drop to cold and this also affected how the car performed.
OK OK, it's an easy job but my 1st one so be gentle. Underside protection metal panel came off easy enough, had the car on ramps and in off-road mode....I just generally hate being underneath these things as the suspension tends to have a mind of it's own!!
Anyway, satisfying that the oil temp sensor fixed the issues and I also got a good chance to look underneath the car. It's an '07 on 146k miles and other than a few oily weeps here and there, the chassis and general running gear looks in good nick so I'm pleased with that
