I heard a small crunch and the spectators saying about broken (apart from the title) and I guess that was all on road tyres?

Looks like the nearside front CV joint broke, you can see the front wheel stop very suddenly.

The car was in extended mode, and its known that using excessive power and full lock on extended suspension setting can pop the CV joint.
