Come on! Those are extremists. Are you Confused ?

I love the environment, I like trekking, paragliding, mountain biking,...and...I bought a Land Rover. I was really concerned about it's environmental impact, but I decided I was a responsible guy, that wouldn't noisily go around running over rabbits or bushes (get out of my way, George) and that this vehicle would actually pollute less than my 1.4 litre VW. Why? 'Cause it's so hard to find a parking place for it down town, that I'll find myself using mostly public transportation in the city!

You see, so the green oval really is green after all Mr. Green .

Considering that quite a few of us on this forum (me included) seem to have gone for a test drive with no immediate intention of buying, only to be so impressed that we whipped out our cheque books there and then, it's probably a good/bad thing that these protestors didn't target the Disco's, otherwise a few of them might have been "won over" to!

Maybe we could try this approach if we don't get a satisfactory conclusion to the pre-heat saga. Handcuffs and Webastos, anyone?

Vito, my Italian is not too good, but does Mala tempora currunt mean a temporary ban or a permanent one?

The ban is permanent, so far, and it does not apply just to people who are city residents. The same was attempted in Rome, but it was not approved by few votes Confused .

It does not apply to old truck, white van, and all the other smoking and polluting commercial vehicles that plague italian cities
(the ban identify the evil vehicles as those with weehls more than 70 centimiters in diameter and more than 2 metric tons in weight).
Ridiculous, but true Rolling Eyes .

PS (don'worry, BN, the quote was not italian but ancient latin)
