GSM FBH - what happes if??????

If I ring it by accident Big Cry

Lent my mobile to a mate who's battery had died, and he pressed the iPhone app that rings the car.

Is it something I should worry about????, or will it shut itself off. Not sure how long it will run for. I know I can't press it again or it will run out of diesel, well at least till I take it for a spin.

Not sure anything will happen at this time of year will it Question

It may start it's firing up cycle but will it actually fire up (unless you can fool it into thinking the outside air temp is 5 or below) Confused

Think it's set for 30mins or under, otherwise the pot will run out of fuel....guess it will be off now, and swmbo would have told me if the fire brigade were there Laughing

OK, so FBH = Fuel Burning Heater. How does the iPhone app work then?

cheers

As you say FBH is the Fuel Burning Heater.

Some members have modified the working of the car to allow them to ring the car and make the Fuel Burning Heater turn on. The logic therefore being that if you call your car 30 minutes before you need to use it the temperature of the car will already be nice and warm so you drive away without a chilly bum.

I guess the iPhone app just makes the call.

Just make sure if you do it yourself that you put the App somewhere away from the Apps you always use, stops accidental pressing..... Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the info, not something I will be doing. Coming from a Defender with doors that don't shut properly, to a D3 with air con and heated seats will be more than fine for me at the moment

cheers

Exactly what I thought in the begining, but looking at the Winter we just had and its becoming more common, and the pre-heating of the coolant thus saving wear and tear on the engine, plus toasty cabin instantly, you will do the same...................trust me Laughing
