Handbrake

My T*ATING hand brake has packed up again, it won’t engage. 10 did you say there was a re-set to bed it in or something. This happens every time I go through muddy water. I think it may be a case of getting her on the ramp to see if it is possible to make a
Water Ingress Protection System - Handbrake Actuator Defence or a WIPS - HAD

Welcome to the advantages of new technologies (like an LR technical inspector told me)

Every time you went playing in the mud/water, you should open the parkbrake system, and re-adjust it...

Andrew, Have you had the overlay loom installed? There is a new loom that gets around the water ingress problem. Mine has had this, and a new actuator. Solved all the problems. Been wading since and it seems ok.

Slightly related - found the reason for your rear wheel slide Wink the park brake will not auto release without 5% or greater throttle movement, i'm assuming you just let the footbrake off and didn't use the throttle on your initial decent?

Gareth yes had all that done and everything replaced that involves the park brake.

10 Embarassed I can’t remember I was sliding at the time and did accelerate to get things under control Shocked who knows. Everything was fine till Monday. Now the brake will not apply and I have an amber light on constantly and a red flashing one. So they will have to have it back tomorrow.
