| handbrake and rear discs question |

Just checking my sanity, but I am right that the handbrake shoes sit inside the rear discs, so if discs were replaced, the handbrake would have had to have been backed off and reset once new discs fitted?

I had a service on my car an the pbs were adjusted too tight and had the shoes sticking on

my current situation is left side problem. New rear discs fitted by main dealer mid Sept. Been fine until tuesday night, when on M5 had to stop with glowing rear hub/disc. EBP shoes not replaced at time of new discs. Dealer says brake shoe has disintergrated, and that EBP module is working fine.
