Hatchbags - any feedback or views?

Hi,

Just deliberating on how to try and keep the back of the car free of dog hair and mud and had Hatchbags recommended. Wondered if i might pick the collective brain with a few questions:

Anyone else out there have a view or got one?
Are they easy to fit?
Are they hard wearing?
How do they compare with LR's own products? (Cheaper no doubt!)

And anything else useful!

Thanks

I think our hatchbag is fantastic! We've got a lab and a retriever (both golden) so hair and mess is always a problem. We bought the hatchbag with the extra side sill covers, tailgate cover, and the anti-odour mat.

It took about 30 minutes to fit initially, but we've now got it down to a fine art and can take the cage and hatchbag out or re-fit it in under 5 minutes. It does a fantastic job at containing the dirt, and is incredibly hard-wearing. I really can't recommend it enough! Seeing the amount of dirt on it, especially on the sill covers, makes me realise just how dirty our almond interior would have got without it. The anti-odour mat is really good as well, as you can just stick it in the washing machine, and the dogs find it very comfy.

I can't compare it to other LR products, but I really wish we'd known about hatchbag before for our previous cars!

I have one for carrying my wet, smelly lab about and it is great, easy to fit, very hard wearing, covers everything it needs to and the interior under it is like new!

totally recommend one!

Just looking at the Hatchbags now with the sill protector, I take it you can fit the LR dog guard with this in place, it's just all the pics on their website are vehicles without dog guards. Cheers.

They ask when ordering if you have the dog guard, so it fits perfectly with it.

Very pleased with our Hatchbag (full kit) which accommodates the dog guard (and luggage divider when we bother to fit it) really well. Its certainly keeping the interior clean and dog hairs and dirt away despite the best efforts of its two usual occupants.

There is a picture of the HB and guard fitted in my gallery if its of any help.

had the hatchbag for years and everytime I remove it to clear out the crud it's contained, I'm amazed at how clean the carpet is underneath Laughing Thumbs Up

The rear boot cover is great as I use the jetboil on it all the time and the kids croissants and hot chocolate and anything else when camping just gets wiped off Thumbs Up

You won't be dissapointed!

Vizsla, did you have to make changes to the Hatchbag to get it to accept the luggage divider? Pick mine up next week....

No, no changes necessary to accommodate the divider. One caveat to that though- I have not yet fitted the rear gate, just the central divider, but when you do there are a couple of brackets to attach to the floor of the car which I believe the Hatchbag design accommodates - so you should not need to alter in any way Thumbs Up
